If you’re debating on a trip to Miami, do it! Tall palm trees, white sand, fabulous day and night clubs, and of course the delicious drinks!
A Mojito is the perfect refreshing cocktail in the Miami heat. I may or may not have drank a Mojito each day I was there... relaxing by the ocean, the soft white sandy beaches, take me back! Each place we visited made its own specialty Mojito. Different kinds of mint, how much they use, which sugar they use, proportions, and so on.. everyone has their own spin off. So naturally, I had to see which place could make the best one!
Nikki Beach is a MUST go-to Miami spot. This restaurant is located ON the sand, beautiful aesthetic, covered with white umbrellas, day beds, good food, you may catch a bit of live music if you're lucky, and of course Mojitos!
If you won’t be visiting Miami anytime soon, don’t worry, Mojitos are easy to make at home! Perfect for when you have friends over, lying by the pool, or maybe you need to escape and go on a mini-mental vacation. You’re just a few simple ingredients away from the ultimate vacation cocktail!
-How to Make a Mojito Cocktail-
First, let's Muddle:
- 5 Fresh Mint Leaves
- 1 Raw Sugar Cube
Add:
- 2 oz White Rum of your choice
- .5 oz Fresh Lime Juice
- .5 oz Cane Sugar Syrup
Shake & Top with a splash of soda water to give it refreshing bubbles
Serve on the rocks in a sugar-rimmed glass
Garnish with a sprig of mint (make sure to slap the mint to release its minty aroma)
And lime wheel if you're feeling extra fancy...
